First look at 3Q data: Nothing to see here

The first look at third quarter home sales in Chicago shows no major citywide changes in sales volume or selling prices:

* Sales of single family detached homes are essentially flat; 9,061 homes sold in the third quarter, compared to 9,076 in the second quarter.
* Sales of condominiums and townhomes rose slightly, from 5,965 in 2Q to 6,125 in 3Q, a gain of 2.7%.
