Employment page added
5/14/2010: We added the employment page, showing the number of residents employed and the unemployment rate for Illinois and the Chicago MSA. The page also compares Illinois, Chicago MSA, and national unemployment rates.
2 NAR data pages
We added two separate NAR data pages, one for existing home sales and one for pending home sales. The pending home sales page shows an index; the existing home sales page shows a seasonally adjusted annual rate. Both show annual figures from 2007 through 2009 and monthly figures going back 12 months.
Building permits page added
Today we added a building permits page showing the building permit activity in the city on a monthly and an annual basis. There are also charts showing how building permit activity has changed over the previous period. The page is located here and can also be accessed from the Data Library.
Neighborhood report links activated
We activated links to neighborhood reports from 4Q 2009. Fifteen neighborhoods now have active links with market snapshots in chart format. An index is here and a quick link is in the navigation bar.
Case-Shiller page added
We have added a page to track the Case-Shiller index of Chicago and the 20-city index. The page will be updated each month. The page location is here: http://lakeshoreanalytics.com/blog/data-analytics/sp-case-shiller-index/
