Lakeshore Analytics was founded to bring comprehensive, understandable housing data and analysis to Chicago-area readers.
Home owners, home buyers, agents, builders, lenders and investors all have an interest in our local economy and housing market. However, most data providers serve a national market. Local media sources provide headlines and brief analysis, but often fail to put information in perspective. (Their ubiquitous “more-than-expected” and “less-than-expected” headlines are examples.)
The site has three sections:
- Free news and charts on the blog
- Free summary data on 20 top neighborhoods
- Quarterly data subscriptions
The first edition of Chicago Housing Quarterly will be released the week of November 1. Over the next 12 months, Lakeshore Analytics will release additional subscription services offering specialized data on the Cook County suburbs, the apartment building market, and neighborhood demographics.
